Good Life Mobility had the epic opportunity to be at La Jolla shores at the ISA World Adaptive Surfing Championship from December 9th until the 13th. We did demonstrations of our newest add on jet thruster devices, and our advanced joystick controllers. The energy and excitement at the event was super high, and the diversity of the competitors from over 30 countries was impressive. We met and discussed opportunities with adaptive athletes, veterans, young people, baby boomers, and able bodied water sports enthusiasts to see how technology can enable their independence and fun.
Congratulations to team Brazil, who took the gold. There were so many solid surfers, with really innovative style, and some very tight heats. We saw some very cool surfing approaches, and learned a lot from surfers we interviewed from around the world.
Thank you and congratulations to all of the adaptive surfers. Each one of you showed such an amazing amount of strength and determination, and the level of competition was certainly exciting to watch.
Special thanks to our long time friend and GLM ambassador, Jesse Billauer. Your stoke and inspiration is infectious, and it's amazing to see the adaptive surf community thriving, which you've had such a strong hand in pioneering.
GLM is stoked to be a part of the adaptive surf community, and hope to maintain relationships with the athletes who we met from around the world.
