VETERAN AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
We are currently working with several veterans with physical challenges who reside in the San Francisco Bay Area and San Diego. These veterans have quadriplegia, paraplegia, or are amputees.
As ambassadors, they will be contacts in their communities and whenever possible will work in conjunction with recreation therapists in nearby veteran hospitals. They will also work with a variety of veteran outreach programs, such as the not-for-profit project AmpSurf, which focuses on surfing for veterans using conventional unpowered surfboards. They will be our "early adopters" and their concerns and issues will provide pertinent feedback to improve our programs. We plan to have publicized events for veterans to promote awareness and create demand for the product.
